Chiffon
Chiffon is a lightweight, sheer, flowing fabric often layered in formal and occasion dresses. It floats and moves beautifully, which suits bridesmaid, guest and evening styles, but it is delicate, can snag and often needs a lining for coverage. Care labels commonly call for gentle or professional cleaning, and tailors need extra time to hem it neatly. Steaming is gentler than ironing on delicate fabrics.
